NEET Exam - NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG)-2023

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is now known as the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST [ NEET (UG) – 2021] will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, the 12 September 2021 (Sunday) in Pen and Paper mode in 13 languages, as a uniform Neet 2022 entrance examination for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India, as per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and relevant Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 1997, as amended from time to time. The languages in which the NEET (UG) 2021 would be conducted are : English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data may also be utilized for B.Sc. (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The NEET (UG) – 2021 result data could also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges. However, the Council has to approach the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW in order to obtain the said data of results.


The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of the result and providing category-wise “All India Rank (AIR)” /Merit List to: the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) & Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, for the conduct of counselling by: the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses for the following types of quotas: 

a) 15% seats All India Quota, 

b) 100% seats of Central Institutions (including 85% State quota seats) of ABVIMS& RML Hospital/VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital/ Central Universities (including DU/ BHU /AMU, 

c) 100% seats of AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities, 

d) ESIC (IP quota seats) 

e) MCC does only the registration for AFMC and forwards the data of registered Candidates to AFMC Authorities for admission process ; AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) for admission to BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS under Central Quota Seats; and providing the Result to the Counselling Authorities of States/UTs through DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services). 

The candidates, who desire to appear in NEET (UG) - 2021, are advised to carefully go through the details in the Information Bulletin (available on this website) regarding the Test, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria, Reservation, Categorization of Seats, State Code/ cities of examination/ application procedure, examination fee and other details before submitting the Online Application for this exam.

Extension for Filling up of Second Phase and Online Application Form for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) - Reg. On receiving numerous requests from the candidates, the National Testing Agency is opening the window for filling up of Second set of Information particulars of the First and Second Phase of Online Application Form for NEET (UG) 2021. 

The schedule for the same will be as follows:

This facility is also available for Candidates particular fields earlier.

Filling up of Second Phase and Correction in the particulars of Online Application Form for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) On receiving numerous requests from the candidates, the National Testing Agency is filling up of Second set of Information and correct/modify the First and Second Phase of Online Application Form for NEET (UG) will be as follows:

The interested candidates may avail this facility as the Last and Final opportunity for were filled in the First and second phase of the 2021. Candidates who have done one-time corrections 

The Candidates are strongly advised to check, cross-check, and verify their registered e address and ensure that it is their own e-mail address only as NTA will be sending the scanned Scorecard to the registered e-mail address.
